Kate Moss Bronze Sculptures Series

First it was mannequin, and now sculptures. Kate Moss has been the subject of a bronze sculpture series, "Sphinx," by artist Marc Quinn.

The supermodel was used in a bronze display at the "Mary Boone Gallery" in New York City. Quinn unveiled seven new bronze sculptures of the supermodel in various yoga poses, which are claimed to show the beauty as "a knotted Venus of our age."

The bronzes, which include one of her with her legs stretched behind her head, are on display until June 30th and can be purchased for $200,000-$275,000 (£137,500).

On the exhibition, Quinn explained it's called "Sphinx" because of Kate Moss's mysterious persona, adding that the sculptures represent "an image, and the way it is twisted and sculpted by our collective desire." source

Kate Moss Topshop collection faces disruption from anarchist protesters

According to the Topshop site, the line is available beginning May 1 and customers can only buy 1 of each style and can buy no more that 5 items at a time.

May 1 is the biggest day for street protests, with anti-capitalist groups planning a string of demonstrations in London. Sources claim the protesters are planning to launch their strike around midnight tomorrow when Kate appears in the storewindow wearing some of her creations.

Every 150 people in the queue will be issued with a different coloured wristband, which will entitle their colour group to shop in the Kate Moss section for 20 minutes (though the kind security people realise you will require extra time to drag your haul through the tills). Purchases are limited to five pieces per person, but you will get a shopping guide and goody bag thrown in. The store anticipates being open until midnight - then there's time for a quick few hours' beauty sleep before it re-opens at 7am for the madness to start all over again. Hurrah! Kate Moss Topshop Collection will be exclusively available in the US through Barneys New York starting on May 9.
