OFFICIALLY Snoop Dogg isn't welcome in Australia, but his superstar friends were nevertheless happy to support the controversial American hip-hop artist yesterday.
After Snoop was refused a visa to attend tonight's MTV Australia Video Music Awards, singer Fergie wore her loyalty on her chest, donning a t-shirt bearing a slogan that read: "I Love Snoop".
And Sophie Monk, the expat Aussie actor and singer who will co-host an upcoming MTV show with the rapper, said that she was yet to speak to her controversial mate.
"It is a bummer he couldn't make it ... but he will be back, I'm sure," said Monk, who is engaged to rock band Good Charlotte's Benji Madden.
Snoop Dogg was forced to cancel his trip at the last minute after being denied a visa."Thank you so much for fighting the fight and trying to get me to the show," Snoop Dogg wrote in an email to organisers yesterday. Have a great show this weekend. Please let all my fans know how disappointed I am."
