Paris Hilton’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, told reporters he was “shocked and disappointed” by the sentence. “To sentence Paris Hilton to jail is uncalled for, inappropriate and ludicrous,” Weitzman said. “She was singled out for who she is. She’s been selectively targeted. Paris was honest in her testimony. We plan to appeal. Shame on the system.”
Though Hilton’s lawyers can appeal the ruling, the City Attorney’s Office Press Deputy Frank Mateljan told Us: “She would need to show the court abused its discretion. We proved our case above and beyond what is required. We are extremely confident it will hold up in any court as it did today.”
Hilton, 26, arrived to court ten minutes late for the hearing in the back of a black Cadillac Escalade with her parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton.
Dressed in black pants, a white shirt and a gray jacket, her hair held back in a headband, Hilton appeared serious and said nothing to the paparazzi lining the path to the court entrance.
In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.
I'm, still wondering, is she find away to handle the situations ? One of my friend said, she is smart gril, and will find a way to make money from it. Who? Is she make a video on jail, make a book, or ... make some party with other prisoner?
What do you think ?
