Amelle Berrabah the Sugababes singer arrested on suspicion of assault and has spent a night in a police cell.
The 23-year-old pop star was taken to Guildford Police Station, Surrey, after a Saturday night brawl on the dance floor of nightspot Bar Met, the Mirror and Sun newspapers report.
The alleged victim is an 18-year-old woman.
The Mirror says Berrabah is reported to have given a statement about the alleged incident yesterday morning, before joining bandmates Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range on a flight to America.
"There was an incident on Saturday night and Amelle is helping police with their inquiries. I can't say more than that because she is on a flight to LA." Sugababes' spokeswoman said to the newspaper.
The Sugababes are one of the most successful girl bands of recent years although it was their third line-up when Berrabah joined in December 2005, replacing original member Mutya Buena.
